Top Five Tips on Cleaning and Organizing Baby Einstein Toys

Is there a bigger clutter-maker in the house than a little tot with lots of toys? One minute, you’ve got his neatly stacked up, his plush toys lined along his crib and the next minute, they’re thrown all over the place, onto the floor or at the other side of the room.

Learning how to survive with all the mess is a way to keep your sanity. But how do you do just that? Fortunately, there are ways to minimize the cleaning chore and have more time to take care of baby and bond with him.

The first and most important tip is to accept the fact that you’re never going to have an immaculately spick and span house. Not today and probably not until your baby goes to college. When you’ve made peace with yourself with that reality, it would be easier to let go of the little messes here and there and focus on more important things like feeding the baby or spending quality time with him. As long as his Baby Einstein toy do not cover up yet the whole floor, you’re still good.

A second tip is to have a toy box or shelf with compartments or drawers where you can organize the baby toys according to its kind. Baby Einstein Discover and Play Musical Books go inside the first drawer, his Baby Einstein teething toys are kept in the second. This way, you know where to find the toy that he wants without having to dive in a large pile of toys. Also, this teaches your child the importance of organization as he would later learn how to tidy up his toys by himself.

Third tip is to buy toys that are easier to clean like the ones you can clean by simply washing with soap and water. An example would be the Baby Einstein Puppets Collection. Toys that require bleaching are more tedious to clean up, would take up more of your time and are thus less advisable to purchase. Also, bleaching is not that safe for baby.

The fourth tip is to wash the Baby Einstein toys by placing them in the dishwasher. This trick is more ideal for toys with harder surface such as Baby Einstein On-the-Go Link Set. For plush toys like Baby Einstein Press and Play Pals, you can place them inside a pillowcase before putting inside the washer.

Fifth and final tip, always have baby wipes handy. You can use this when baby spits up on his plush toy to avoid getting stain on it. It is also useful to give your already washed up toys a quick wipe before going inside baby’s crib just to be doubly sure that no bacteria will harm your baby.

It’s always important to tell yourself that toys are meant for fun, not just for your baby but for you as well. Instead of complaining about the mess they cause in the house, bring out the child in you by engaging in playtime with your baby. This is indeed beneficial for both of you.
