How to Make Your Child Doze off into a Good Night’s Sleep

Some of us are tainted with the false belief that a tired baby will sleep easier or better and that the later he sleeps, the later he wakes up in the morning. Now is the time that we wake up ourselves and know what fallacies these ideas are.

First, it has been proved by experts that early bedtime most definitely means better sleep for your adorable tiny tyke. Tiring out baby so that it wouldn’t take a lot of effort for you to put him to sleep usually backfires because over exhaustion is the usual cause of uneasiness and difficulty to sleep.

It has been found that a baby according to his biological clock should get an early bedtime. Your baby just like any other is all set to sleep as early as 7:00 p.m. You may notice that most of the time when the grandfather clock in your living room hits seven, baby starts to be fussy, cranky and whiny. That’s your baby wanting to go sleep.

Establishing a routine for him to sleep each night at seven may be the best way for him to have the good quality rest that he needs to maintain good health and thrive properly both physically and mentally. At first, it may be hard to launch this early bedtime schedule but there are ways to get baby used to it and make sure that his sleep is more than just forty winks.

First, make sure baby has been fed well. You wouldn’t want him waking up the next hour on the account of a grumbling tummy. Be sure he has eaten enough for him to last the night without having to wake up. Be careful however not to overstuff his appetite for this can also cause problem of discomfort that may also interrupt his sleep.

Next, set up a comfortable sleeping atmosphere for him. It would be nice to play some music. The Baby Einstein Lullaby Classics musical CD is ideal for this setting. Soft, peaceful music does wonders in lulling baby to snooze. You can also opt to play other like Baby Mozart Music CD if you prefer to stimulate his mind during sleep.

Another way to induce sleep is to sway baby in a constant rocking motion. It’s proven and tested that babies love this so much, it could put them to sleep. Rocker and baby einstein bouncer like the Baby Einstein Discovering Water Rocker Seat provides rhythmic motion and music to soothe your little one to sleep.

If you prefer putting him to sleep in his crib, you can also make use of toys such as from Baby Einstein Toys that do not only provide lullaby music but also a hypnotic rotation of toys that can make your baby drowsy.

Another good trick is to give your baby a warm bath before bedtime. While he holds onto his Baby Einstein Aquativity Caterpillar, he’s being relieved with a warm bath that will make sleeping much easier for him.

A good night sleep is extremely beneficial for your baby. It ensures that he’s getting the quality rest he needs to grow up physically and mentally healthy. And it also means that baby will be fully relaxed and recharged, and ready to take on the next day ahead.
