“Homemade.”
The word has a warm, cozy ring to it. Whether it is homemade
pizza, ice cream, or pies, the term “homemade”
implies certain features that typically are not linked to
foods bought in stores. Homemade foods are fresh and made
with natural ingredients. If you are like me, you might have
difficulty pronouncing the ingredients on store-bought foods’
packaging—let alone knowing what the stuff is or how
to make it. Your baby in Berlin
Ohio or elsewhere may be ready to start eating semi-solid
food. Perhaps you have considered making homemade baby food,
but are unsure about where to start.
Making homemade baby food can be
a cinch, if you follow some basic guidelines. Before you put
a Baby Einstein bib on your baby, make sure that your homemade
baby food will not be a home mess:
1. Proper preparation. Preparing
the homemade baby food properly will ensure that your child
will enjoy a healthy meal, as much as you can enjoy Berlin
Ohio Lodging:
• To make food thinner, some
excellent substances to add include water, animals’
milk, formula, yogurt, apple juice, and broth.
• Many basic fruits and vegetables can be transformed
into soft versions for your tot. Apples, bananas, peaches
(canned), and pears (canned) can easily be mashed or blended
to create a delicious and nutritious food for your baby.
• Fruits and vegetables should be steamed, instead of
boiled—so they do not lose many of their vitamins.
• Do not warm foods with a microwave
• If you need to thicken your baby’s food, consider
using the following: egg yolks (cooked), whole-grain cereal,
mashed potato, and cottage cheese
2. Forbidden fruits (and other
stuff). When preparing and feeding your child homemade baby
foods in Millesburg
Ohio or elsewhere, make sure to avoid using certain ingredients.
For children under the age of two, avoid feeding: nuts, popcorn,
raisins, raw vegetables, and unpeeled fruits. Children under
one-year-old should not eat: beets, honey, oranges, pineapples,
spinach, turnip greens (they contain dangerous substance for
youngsters). Also, never use canned vegetables, as they tend
to be high in salt.
Finally, never add certain seasonings to homemade baby food:
egg whites, salt, strong spices, and sugar.
